Isn't this a beautiful picture of her on Waikiki in the sixties? She packed up from Oklahoma with her best friend and moved out to Honolulu after college. Our Jude still lives there, and coincidentally, her son now lives in NYC, too... (and works at the Opening Ceremony showroom.)

Just looked at your blog for the first time last night, N-T! Too funny... I know, can't we all just have a little Honolulu in our lives right about now? Some sun, hot sand, maybe a couple of umbrella'd cocktails...
She's lovely! I miss my mom too, who lives thousands of miles away. I miss her.

That is a GREAT picture of your mother; I love it. in fact i probably took that picture. i remember that little bikini. she had a pink/red one and i had a blue/green one.
